Elon Musk Just CONFIRMED Starship’s Next Flight Test Official Date!
SpaceX is determined to launch its next attempt soon following an epic test of the Starship rocket late last month and the turmoil that ensued. At its facilities in Boca Chica, Texas, SpaceX has been working on the Starship rocket for a while now. In terms of thrust and payload capacity, it is the largest rocket in the world. The company began testing the rocket’s first stage in 2020, however after a while it decided to concentrate on creating the first stage Super Heavy booster, so it ceased the ‘entertaining’ test campaigns. The rocket’s first orbital flight, which took place last month, was the culmination of these efforts, however it revealed a grave oversight on SpaceX’s side in calculating the impact that the 16.7 million pound thrust rocket could have on the launch pad.

After the first test flight in April, Elon Musk promised that a second Starship will be launched ‘within a few months.’ The SpaceX CEO is now making good on that promise.
Monday, SpaceX submitted a request for a license to the Federal Communications Commission, asking for permission to begin operations as early as June 15 and continuing at any time up to December 15.
The mission’s stated goal is a “experimental orbital demo and recovery test of the Starship test vehicle,” implying that the world may witness the spacecraft departing our planet.
The first launch’s intended outcome, however, changed when the 395-foot stack did not succeed to separate four minutes after liftoff, detracting from its initial intentions.
Musk had simply intended to get Starship off the launchpad with the April launch, so it was considered a success. However, the enormous explosion inflicted damage that needs to be fixed before SpaceX’s next grand attempt at glory.
At 9:33 am ET, the gigantic 395-foot stack, which included the Super Heavy rocket and Starship, launched for its first orbital launch, however it caught fire four minutes later.
The Super Heavy gigantic craft failed to detach when Elon Musk’s team engaged the flight termination device, throwing it into an uncontrollable death spin.
Although the result wasn’t ideal, Elon Musk, NASA, and the SpaceX team are nonetheless happy with it because the main objective was to get Starship off the launch pad.
During the company’s live video in April, SpaceX Principal Integration Engineer John Insprucker said: “Now, this was a development test.
“Starship’s first test flight,” The objective is to get the data, as well as, as we stated, to clear the pad and get ready to go on again.
As a result, you can never predict what will happen. But as we said, there will be plenty of excitement. And Starship gave us a pretty stunning way to wrap up what, so far, was an incredible test.
