SpaceX is getting ready to launch the Transporter-8 mission, using the Falcon 9 rocket. The launch will take place from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
The first stage booster assigned to this mission has an interesting background, as it has previously supported the launches of Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, DART, and seven Starlink missions. After the initial stage separates, Falcon 9 will perform a precise landing on Landing Zone 4 (LZ-4) at Vandenberg Space Force Base.
Transporter-8 represents SpaceX’s seventh dedicated mission for smallsat rideshares. A total of 51 payloads will be on board, including CubeSats, MicroSats, hosted payloads, and orbital transfer vehicles carrying spacecraft that will be deployed at a later time.
To provide an engaging experience for viewers, a live webcast of this mission will start approximately 15 minutes before liftoff.
