SECOND ATTEMPT since HBO decided to BLOCK the first upload. Apparently their overnight crew isn’t well versed in copyright law, and doesn’t understand how you can use a clip TO DISCUSS that clip.
John Oliver is a great presenter, and a skilled comedian, but he’s not an analyst. He will not be sued for his episode railing against Elon because he knows how to cover his bases.
The wrong things he said were defensible because he showed it wasn’t “him” saying it, but the people who churned out the BS in the first place.
