SpaceX Did it Starship Flight 4 Passed WDR, Ready To Launch In 2 Weeks!
Finally, it’s DONE!
The Wet Dress Rehearsal, one of the most crucial tests before the historic Flight 4, has just been completed. With this key milestone achieved, the launch date for Flight 4 has become clearer, especially with Elon Musk’s latest revelation.
Join us as we dive into this great news in today’s episode of Great SpaceX.
The Wet Dress Rehearsal is always one of the most anticipated tests, signaling that the flight is nearly ready. Flight 4’s Wet Dress Rehearsal was especially awaited, given that its hardware has been at the Launch Site for several days, with road closures constantly appearing.

According to the previous road closure schedule, SpaceX planned three 12-hour road closures: a primary date on May 20 and two backup dates on May 21 and 22. Everything happened exactly as planned. In fact, Kathy Lueders, General Manager of SpaceX’s Starbase, had previously mentioned that the Wet Dress Rehearsal would be completed this week.
Without making us wait any longer, SpaceX conducted the Wet Dress Rehearsal on May 20. Right from dawn, the entire road was closed. On the Launch Pad, the Chopsticks were also opened, ready for testing.

At about 8:04 a.m., both the Orbital Launch Mount (OLM) and the Launch Towers underwent a strong venting process, creating a spectacular view for us to witness the Wet Dress Rehearsal. Approximately an hour later, around 8:53, the fuel-loading process began. Liquid oxygen and liquid methane fuel were loaded onto the Booster and Ship, respectively. Similar to the tanking test on May 16, frost immediately appeared on the fuel tanks of both stages. This time, it was even more impressive as frost covered the entire fuel tank area, indicating that the tanks were fully loaded with an estimated mass of more than 4800 tons, or 10 million pounds.
