Both Blue Origin and SpaceX were founded by famous tech entrepreneurs with grand ambitions for the future of space travel. Blue Origin was established in 2000 by Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, with the mission of enabling millions of people to live and work in space.
SpaceX, on the other hand, was founded in 2002 by Musk, the CEO of Tesla, with the goal of reducing space transportation costs to enable the colonization of Mars. Musk, driven by a fear of humanity’s extinction, has consistently emphasized the need to make life multi-planetary as a means to preserve human civilization.
