Elon Musk REVEALS How The Starship Will Change Everything!

Deep space exploration in the twenty-first century is being led by NASA and SpaceX. Both assert to be building the most potent rocket ever built. But, when NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) moon rocket launched in the wee hours of Nov. 16, it was officially crowned the most powerful rocket ever flown thanks to its impressive 4 million kg (8.8 million lbs) of thrust.

That far surpassed the previous record-holder, the Saturn 5 from the Apollo era, which had 3.4 million kg (7.5 million lbs) of force. But will SLS hold that title for long? And how does Starship compare to the SLS? Let’s get to know more!

Hello everyone! Welcome back to Elon Musk Evolution, where we bring you the most recent news about Elon Musk and his multi billion-dollar companies, space news and the latest science and technology.

In preparation for the next generation of lunar astronauts, NASA developed a brand-new mega-rocket, which made its debut in November.

The Space Launch System (SLS) has been in development for 17 years and cost an estimated $50 billion. It is intended to launch astronauts to the moon for the first time since the final Apollo period moonwalk in 1972.

However, the SLS won’t continue to be the most powerful rocket for very long. According to Space.com, earlier this week, SpaceX successfully tested 11 of the 33 engines on its Brobdingnagian Super Heavy rocket. This monstrous device will deliver more than 7.25 million kg (16 million lbs) of thrust when all of its engines are ignited, which is almost twice as much as the SLS. The 50 m (164 ft) tall Super Heavy is the first stage that carries the Starship spaceship. Its height is 69 m (230 ft). While comfortably surpassing the SLS’s 32 stories, the complete stack, also known as Starship, is approximately 40 stories high.

Starship hasn’t flown yet, of course, unlike the SLS. The crewed upper section of the Starship stack has been chosen by NASA as the landing vehicle for the Artemis 3 mission, which intends to return American astronauts to the lunar surface as soon as 2026.

Likewise, NASA’s unmanned Artemis 1 mission around the moon, which benefited from the SLS, has been proceeding just as planned.
And so, let’s compare these two most powerful rockets!

These two spacecraft illustrate radically different strategies for reaching the moon in terms of their construction, funding, and intended uses.
The Orion spacecraft will be propelled into orbit around the moon by the SLS using primarily tried-and-true NASA technology, some of it really leftover from the Apollo era of the 1960s and 1970s.

The SLS rocket stages get used up and eventually splash into the water, just like all NASA rockets before it.

Congress mandated the strategy, and NASA already had the necessary tools. They had witnessed its effectiveness. Returning to it looked to be the more economical option.

The Launch Abort System fairings and tower that encircle Orion are ejected once the spacecraft has cleared the majority of the atmosphere and fall back to earth.

Orion contains new equipment to support longer trips, more passengers, and improved communications, yet looking outwardly identical to the classic Apollo capsules.

NASA’s tried-and-true method is starkly contrasted by Elon Musk’s SpaceX project, Starship, in both appearance and functionality.

Many of the primary parts of the Super Heavy Boosters will land and be reused on subsequent flights, whereas the SLS rockets are intended for a single usage.
