Elon Musk Just Announced A SHOCKING Starship Update!
Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, responded to questions from fans as excitement for Starship’s third launch at Starbase on Boca Chica Beach intensified. On X, the billionaire disclosed information about a planned launch date and the likelihood of a successful launch. But, wait there’s more, he also made a shocking announcement, and what could that be? Let’s all find out in today’s episode! And so, stay tuned!

During a live discussion on X, the former name of Twitter, the CEO made the announcement. The third launch of the spaceship, according to Musk, is scheduled for the second week of March. Following Musk’s February 12 confirmation of the third launch to Kanye West, new information about the launch has emerged.
During the live discussion, Musk presented supporters with an exact launch window, predicting that it would occur in the first half of next month but saying it would occur before March 8.
He continued by outlining the rocket’s likelihood of reaching orbit, noting that previous unsuccessful flights had yet to succeed in getting there. Launches in November and April of 2023 both failed minutes after takeoff due to communication failures and self-destruction.
“The probability of Starship reaching the orbit is 70-80% this time,” Musk stated.
Musk also stated that a fourth launch would occur soon after the third launch next month, regardless of the results of the third launch.
On February 10, the Starship and Super Heavy booster were moved to the launch pad in anticipation of the third launch.
And now let’s take a look at what’s more shocking!
SpaceX is putting pressure on regulators to increase its flight frequency as it approaches the launch of its first Starship in 2024 from its Starbase facility in South Texas.
Federal Aviation Administration Administrator for Commercial Space Transportation Kelvin Coleman stated during a press conference this week that the agency is collaborating with the firm to try to expedite the Starship launch-licensing process.
“They’re looking at a pretty aggressive launch schedule this year,” he stated. “They’re looking at, I believe, at least nine launches this year. That’s a lot of launches. If you’re doing modifications and doing them one by one, that’s a lot of work. We’ve been talking to SpaceX constantly around the clock, coming together and trying to figure out how do we do this. We’re invested with the company, and so we’ll work with them to get them back going as soon as they can.”
About five years ago, SpaceX chose to launch and try to land their Starship vehicle in Texas, and as a result, the business was required to go through an expanded environmental assessment of the location. The FAA finished a Final Programmatic Environmental Assessment in June 2022 as a part of this procedure. After that investigation, SpaceX was given permission to launch Starships from South Texas up to five times a year. According to a report, the company is requesting a change to this five-launch cap in order to support a higher flight rate.
