Booster 7 completed its 7-engine static fire test on Monday, Sep. 19. This is the first time ever SpaceX conducting a 7-engine test on the super heavy prototype. Shortly after the test, SpaceX & CEO Elon Musk announced that it was a successful test and gave some new insights into their next plans with booster 7. Musk said that booster 7 would be taken to the production site and as he told, yesterday SpaceX lifted booster 7 with chopstick arms and was transported to the production site which was later on shifted to SpaceX’s Mega Bay.

Booster 8 was transported to the launch site from Mega Bay as exactly as mentioned by musk earlier. However, you should note that booter 8 doesn’t have any raptors installed. This rollout is for pressure testing and after pressure testing, they will take B8 back to the production site for installation of raptor engines. By this time, they would complete B7’s robustness upgrades and take B7 back to the launch site while B8 would remain in the Mega Bay!

Now, another update is that SpaceX canceled plans to launch Starlink V2 on the first orbital launch of a starship super heavy. Yesterday, a new cover was lifted into place over the top of S24’s Starlink V2 PEZ door. This new cover will be permanently welded in place.
