On December 29, 2023, Elon Musk announced on X that he would host a company talk that could take place in the first weeks of 2024. Many people are excited and looking forward to what crazy revelation the founder of SpaceX will make with the company’s plans for 2024.
After a few days of waiting, on January 12, at Starbase, Elon Musk gave a presentation about achievements in 2023 as well as plans for this year. Among many interesting revelations, Elon Musk made an insane statement: “We’re now qualifying Falcon 9 to be able to do 40 flights”.
This statement came after he had just summarized the accomplishments of Falcon 9 in 2023. In particular, the milestone of landing and reuse is a detail that Elon Musk emphasized: “And it’s worth you know like how long ago was that we landed a booster, was actually 8 years ago, in December, roughly 8 years ago and since that time, we’ve landed 260 times, so 260 landings. It’s just like Wow”.
