How Elon Musk’s THE BORING COMPANY Is Revolutionizing Transportation?
Elon Musk has always pushed the frontiers of technology and how that technology could be used for the benefit of humanity. Founded in 2016, the boring company has aimed to revolutionize transportation and reduce traffic related issues.
In this video, we will talk about how the boring company aims to revolutionize transportation.
The boring company has some ambitious designs up its sleeve. It aims to radically change urban transportation by directing it underground. The boring company will seek to make that change by building an overlapping series of tunnels in an electric transportation system which has been called the hyperloop. With that name, it seems that these tunnels came from a sci-fi movie, but the whole project may already have taken off, since the boring company has already penned agreements with big US cities.
One of the most important agreements was made with the LA metro in May 2018 when the Los Angeles City Council even exempted the whole project from an environmental impact review. This exemption was made to speedily build the 2.7 mile test tunnel under the west side of the city. After the test tunnel is constructed, the company will be seeking to get an approval of the 6.5 mile prototypical tunnel which would indicate that all the systems attached within the tunnel system are working as per expectations.
There are other projects lined up too. For instance, there has been extensive talks with the US government about a possible new project in Chicago and building a new tunnel which will one day connect New York with Washington. This is revolutionary indeed! The idea is that these tunnels will become underground roads which will have electric roads lowered through an elevator underneath the roads. Once these electric skates are in place, it can allow cars or passenger transit pods to accelerate at 120 miles per hour. At longer ranges, these tunnels can allow speeds of over 600 miles per hour and far away cities can be connected through the hyperloop underground system.
