The entry-level Tesla Model 3 starts in North American countries at nearly $50,000, whereas the Model Y is priced at nearly $68,000. Over the past year, Tesla over and over noticeably redoubled the prices of its electric cars, making them rather pricier than one or two years past. There were primary reasons for that, like constrained/more pricey components and materials and lockdowns similarly to inflation. Another factor was high demand, with long calculable delivery time – up to around a year in some cases. Tesla was additionally pushing to realize its high margin target. Tesla’s business executive Elon Musk was recently asked on Twitter about any plans to cut back costs once the pandemic or finding offer chain problems. His answer was:
“If inflation calms down, we will lower costs for cars.”
