Elon Musk’s The Boring Company plans to partner with the state of Tennessee to construct an underground tunnel stretching from downtown Nashville to the Nashville International Airport, according to sources close to the deal.
People familiar with the negotiations told The Tennessean that they anticipate an official announcement on July 28 from The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
Now, the spotlight settles on the Texas-based company trying to revolutionize transportation through high-speed tunnels 30 feet underground.
