A new Tennessee Titans stadium is rising next to Nissan Stadium, built in what was once the existing stadium’s parking area. The Titans will play one final season at Nissan Stadium before it is demolished.
The new enclosed venue is expected to open in 2027 and could position Nashville to host a Super Bowl in the future. The development is already being called the most expensive municipal project in state history.
At the same time, Elon Musk’s Boring Company is drilling a tunnel beneath the city to connect Nashville International Airport to downtown. Supporters say the project will provide a new transportation option for travelers without costing taxpayers.
From major construction above ground to development below the surface, Nashville continues to evolve.
