Starbase is where SpaceX is building and testing the world’s largest and most powerful rocket, Starship, which will eventually take humans and cargo to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
SpaceX realized that one launch tower might not be enough to meet the extensive demands they have outlined. The existing tower is expected to require new companions, given the imminent surge in workload ahead. Therefore, on the last day of 2023, Elon Musk posted an interesting tweet, saying that the next stage of the Starship program should be called “The Two Towers”. This is a truly promising statement from the founder of SpaceX, and it hints at an explosive 2024, including the appearance of the second launch tower at Starbase.
