Well, last Christmas, we had a special gift!
NASA’s $10 billion machine, James Webb Telescope, launched that day.
Frankly, it is the Christmas gift to the world that keeps on giving. We woke early Christmas morning, not for St. Nick but for James Webb.
I still remember me and my family wrapped in our robes in front of the pellet stove and watching the launch on NASA’s youtube station.
It was a thrill to see such a diverse group of humans — scientists, project managers, engineers, and support staff who, after 25 years of work, saw their baby lift off on its way to Lagrange Point 2.
This year, we’ve been waiting with the same excitement in hopes of seeing the first launch of Starship – SpaceX’s giant Mars-bound rocket.
Sadly, No Christmas gift today!!!
Elon Musk and his team have been hard at work preparing Super Heavy B7 and Starship S24, heading the maiden orbital flight test for months.
Up to now, SpaceX is making steady progress.
